BRIEF Bring the contemporary, cutting edge building and interior design of urban to the Mornington Peninsula. RESPONSE: With a coastal location, the design warranted a light and breezy aesthetic without being too beachy. We created more of a modern coastal, Scandinavian feel with timber on the ceiling of the downstairs living area complemented by large format good quality Italian porcelain tiles on the floor. Coastal elements like V-groove joinery and Carrara marble bench tops complete the all-white hostess-style integrate kitchen and black tiles, a contemporary basin and a Carrara marble bench top add a punch of masculinity in the powder room.
